Runaway

The dark of the night,

Being eerie quiet,

Bats squeaked through the night,

A dog somewhere barked,

A shadowy figure was seen,

Breaking the chains,

She ran through the night.

Nobody saw her, yet

Everybody saw her wings,

The broken ones, yet

She flew.

She was called a runaway,

But she only ran away,

Away, away, and away,

To start a new life.

She was born again,

Yet, she was called a runaway.
